Chef Charles is just a lot of fun to fish with and knows how to catch em. We got a blackfin tuna, REALLY nice wahoo and some yellowtail and strawberry grouper on the reef. Great weather and really appreciate the effort Charles goes to make sure of a great time.

Trip - Fishing Key Largo | Private - 4 Hour Backcountry Trip on April 17, 2025

Captain Kyle with Catch and Sea Charters (filling in for Chef Charles) was very knowledgeable and took us to three different fishing spots. We caught 6 different kinds of fish and were able to keep enough for fish tacos for dinner! Kyle is a really good cook too :)

Trip - Key Largo fishing Trips | Private - 4 Hour Trip (AM/PM) on March 18, 2025

Captain and crew made this a very enjoyable trip and they put us on some good reef fish. The boat and rods could use some improvement as they were not the high standard I’ve grown accustomed to in charter fishing trips. It was not a huge impact on this trip as we didn’t go far off shore to find fun fishing. If you want a good time and a fun time catching fish I highly recommend but... not sure if I would want to go far off shore in that boat though. The chef/captain ended the trio with a delicious meal delivered to our hotel room. He’s a great cook!

Captain Charlie is a thoughtful and accommodating guide who went above and beyond to make sure everyone had the chance to catch fish. When the waves were rough at our first spot, he moved us to calmer waters, and the day turned out amazing. The dinner he later prepared with our fresh mangrove snapper and delivered to us was the perfect ending to a great trip. Big thanks to Captain Charles and Sam!

Our family had an incredible trip with Chef Charles. We started about 5 miles offshore where my son tried for lobster, but with the waves and his nerves, we switched to fishing instead. After catching a small shark and getting plenty of bites on the reef, we moved closer to shore and landed 10 snappers—one after another! Captain Charles was outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and kind. We’ll definitely be booking with him again this spring.
